David Edwards AIA Project Architect
David recently relocated from the Midwest in pursuit of the outdoors and topography and brings with him experience working in both Washington, DC and Chicago on a wide variety of project types and scales. He hopes his diverse range of experience both in an office setting drawing and designing and on the job site swinging a hammer will allow him to bring a fresh perspective to the already talented team at Grouparchitect.
David began his architectural career in DC at the Catholic University of America’s conceptual program, he then traveled to Chicago to pursue more rigorous technical training at the largely Miesian inspired program at Illinois Institute of Technology, he believes his conceptual background and continuing pursuit of technical knowledge make him a more well-rounded designer. He received his architectural license in Illinois in the spring of 2016 and is currently seeking reciprocity for the state of Washington.
When David isn’t at work he is likely riding a bike, going on a long meandering walk in the woods, or cooking with his wife and their 2 cats.
