During May, new heights were reached at the site of the ongoing LIV Apartments.  The most visual of the progress made in May is the west building.  Framing continued and reached level 5 of the 6 level building. The LIV Apartments take the step to the next level as progress with concrete progresses.  Slab on grades have been poured and work now begins on new levels.  In order to hold the new levels a series of temporary scaffolds and cribbing will be used to support the weight of the concrete as it cures.  In addition to the temporary supports permanent columns are also cast that will support all of the levels above. The LIV Apartments are progressing nicely as this grade is prepared for concrete.  Prior to ground covering the various trades have been working to install main lines for plumbing and electrical as the opportunities to do sub grade work get substantially more difficult and expensive after concrete slab on grade is poured and cured.
