Redfeather Development Group has been providing housing solutions on Native American reservations since 1995. Founded by Robert and Anita Young, RFDG has engaged sustainable building practices and taught construction techniques and methodologies to Tribal members while reinforcing community ties and providing housing for those most in need. Grouparchitect members have been in attendance at multiple builds in the Crow Reservation in eastern Montana and the Lakota Reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota where strawbale homes have been built in a matter of weeks using blitz-build methods and volunteer labor.
