11th Avenue Cottages Break Ground in Kirkland

Construction began this week on our first cottage housing project in Kirkland. Located a few blocks from downtown Kirkland, the 11th Avenue Cottages are creating two new homes and remodeling a third on an existing site.  Kirkland’s cottage housing allowances already largely follow the forthcoming middle housing code changes and intent, so Grouparchitect for one is anxious to see where the final code language falls to see what’s next in the city for higher density residential projects like this one.    ...

House Bill 1110 and Kirkland 2044

The city of Kirkland is still in early stages of looking at the implications of incorporating HB1110 requirements into the zoning code.
