ADUniverse DADU

Seattle, WA

A 500 sf footprint (450sf gross floor area) 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 level DADU designed to fit in the allowable 40% coverage area of a standard rear yard setback area of a typical SF5000 zoned lot.  This small-footprint DADU provides a separate bedroom with a storage loft/attic.  Electric-only for heating, cooling, cooking and laundry. Roof slope can be adjusted for solar orientation.  Stairs are limited to the entry and depending on site conditions could be eliminated or ramping could be provided.  The foundation system is a perimeter concrete stem wall w/ wood framed flooring on a ledger system to allow for a low height entry as well as variable grade conditions of different sites.  It is designed to be either built on site or constructed as a prefabricated modular building.
