Truckee, CA

This free-standing yoga studio is set amongst the trees near Lake Tahoe, CA. Its heavy timber framing and rich material palette reflects the surrounding mountains. A large deck allows the yoga classes to spill into the outdoors. Due to the cold climate, the building’s orientation, glazing, and shading is fine-tuned for energy efficiency.
