Ophir, CO
This custom prefabricated modular home is designed for a vacant lot in the historic mining town of Ophir high in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado. The two modular main level will sit over a site built unfinished basement designed for a future home business and additional living space. Exterior materials of reclaimed wood siding and corten corrugated metal siding and roofing are meant to blend in with the historic character of the town. A high-pitched roof, also a town design requirement, will be installed onsite as trusses allowing for high ceilings in the living spaces within the shipping constraints of modular design.
