A new custom home proposed for a rare vacant lot in West Seattle on a challenging hillside parcel overlooking Alki Beach.  The challenges of this site made this project an ideal candidate for offsite modular construction.  The home is designed in multiple modules that will be placed on a site built foundation.  Features of the home include an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) at the lower level and a flip on the convention bedroom/living space layout to place the kitchen and living rooms on the upper level with a rooftop deck to capture views of Alki and Puget Sound.  At the early conceptual design phase multiple massing schemes were explored.
