Ballard Food Bank’s old space on 24th in Ballard was hopelessly strained. It was small, constrained, and confusing for clients to use. The new facility is a welcoming place where clients can feel safe and empowered. Features include a “grocery store” shopping area, a generous indoor waiting area, demonstration kitchen, and hygiene bar. In the end, the simple existing warehouse at the new location on Leary Avenue was transformed into a complex center for receiving and distributing food and personal items to the most financially vulnerable among us.
The Ballard Food Bank reminds us that we can change the lives for the better. Find out how you can help by visiting: Ballard Food Bank
