The Mercantile is starting to take form.  The footings were completed and the columns are being erected at the lower levels.  The construction teams are proceeding to build the concrete garage walls and mapping the plumbing where pipes will puncture through concrete floor slabs and walls.We are excited to see the next steps for The Mercantile, keep track of the construction progress by clicking here....

The images illustrate the progress made over these past couple of weeks. The excavation process is complete on The Mercantile, a multifamily project located in Bothell. The construction teams have poured the footings and have erected the temporary shoring walls around the perimeter of the building. The Mercantile located in Bothell, WA has completed demolition of the existing commercial building. The Mercantile will be a seven story multifamily apartment building.  The demolition phase has begun in the month of October.  The original building, the Cooperative Mercantile Company, is an unreinforced masonry structure.  The demolition team has been working to preserve the existing brick façade, which will be incorporated into the new design. The windows and nonstructural walls have been removed.  The back of the building is completely torn down, leaving the existing structure with a few rustic brick walls along 102nd...

Grouparchitect is working with Rudd Development to build a new 34 unit apartment complex in Capitol Hill near Capitol Hill Family Health Clinic.  The eclectic neighborhood is rich with low rise residential buildings; and the design of the Capitol Hill Apartments reflects the density, diversity and ambiance of the neighborhood.
