LIV Apartments – Construction update January
2015 arrives at the job site of the LIV Apartments in Bellevue as crews work at a fevered pace on both the exterior and interior of phase one, and on the framing of the phase 2 East Building.
At breaks in the weather painting crews are able to paint the cement board panel siding that the siding subcontractor installed. Painting progress on the West and South Buildings is nearly complete so the focus has shifted towards the north building.
The podium level, which has served as a staging area for materials, tools, and job trailers, is cleared and prepared for the landscape that will soon be installed.
Along the Bel-Red Road frontage, the full massing of the West and North buildings can be experienced. The north “gateway wall” has been prepared for the installation of windows and waterproofing as the drying in of the North Building is just right around the corner.
Along the east side of the site at 156th Ave NE, the second phase or East Building as we call it reaches the fourth floor of framing as they strive towards topping out at the 6th floor level.
Crews are able to accomplish the installation of prefabricated wall panels at the rate of roughly one level per week so the massing of the building becomes apparent very quickly.
The generous patios and landscaped areas at the amenity spaces of the West Building have been installed.
Having the most overall progress of the project, the West Building interiors are well under way. Finished flooring, paint, casework, and lighting are being installed with the hope of an earlier occupancy for tenants.
Sliding glass doors are installed at select bedrooms and dens of the West Building. Progress at the West Building is now largely on interiors and finishes. In a short time the West Building will be complete and crews will begin to transition to interior work of the South and North Buildings.
Stay tuned as progress will continue on the East Building framing, the cladding and painting of the North Building, and continued interior work on the West and South Buildings.
