Mountainside Yoga Studio

This free-standing yoga studio will be set amongst the trees and boulders at Mountainside at Northstar Lake Tahoe, California. Its heavy timber framing and rich material palette reflects the surrounding mountains. A large deck allows the yoga classes to spill into the outdoors. Due to the cold climate, the building’s orientation, glazing, and shading is fine-tuned for energy efficiency. This project is a collaboration with Method Homes, Mountainside Partners, and Sage Modern.
