This March has been a busy month for the Clyde Hill Residence as the entryway and entry roof have completed framing, the exterior is stripped of existing cladding, and the interior framing is pushing towards completion.  March also saw the installation of most the windows and exterior doors.  Once this installation is complete work will be at a rapid pace on the interior of the building as construction moves towards drywall, fixture installation, painting & finishes, and move in. As progress on the Clyde Hill Residence moves forward this post will document progress made during the month of February. As this project was taken over mid renovation our work has been to tweak the design our clients’ desires.  These tweaks are enlarging rooms & windows, removing windows & exterior cladding, adding a new roof over the main entry, and more will come in posts to come. The LIV Apartments take the step to the next level as progress with concrete progresses.  Slab on grades have been poured and work now begins on new levels.  In order to hold the new levels a series of temporary scaffolds and cribbing will be used to support the weight of the concrete as it cures.  In addition to the temporary supports permanent columns are also cast that will support all of the levels above. The LIV Apartments are progressing nicely as this grade is prepared for concrete.  Prior to ground covering the various trades have been working to install main lines for plumbing and electrical as the opportunities to do sub grade work get substantially more difficult and expensive after concrete slab on grade is poured and cured.
