The 42^nd Avenue DADU project is a 2-bedroom 1.25 bath detached accessory dwelling unit built in the side yard of an existing single-family residence.  The design balances contemporary architectural expression woven into the existing residential context.  The project focused on maintaining maximum livability and privacy from nearby streets as well as the existing residents on the same lot by focusing the yard space and unit glazing toward the open west yard.
