LIV Apartments Site Tour
This Friday some of the office ventured out to the construction site of our largest ongoing multi-family residential project – the LIV Apartments. We were there to observe ongoing wood framing, progress with the post tensioned concrete pours, and to generally become familiar with the project by touring the site. LIV Apartments is situated half a mile from the Microsoft Redmond Campus, and is located at NE 22nd St. and Bel-red Rd. In addition to 450 apartments of various sizes, the project also has nearly 500 parking spaces, of which nearly all are underground. These 450 apartments and parking occupy 4 buildings over a 5 acre site and utilize podium construction (wood framing over concrete) as the method of construction. The site maximizes views to downtown Bellevue, downtown Seattle, and the Olympic mountains to the west.
